The webinar aims to unpack the AfDB’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, help participants understand what inclusive climate financing should look like, decipher the implications of PPPs models of climate financing and broadly develop advocacy messages that will be used by CSOs during the Annual Meetings and other regional foras.
This year, AfDB will hold its Annual Ministerial Meeting on May 22-26, 2023 with the theme, “Mobilizing private sector financing and green growth in Africa.” This follows an unmaterialized promise of mobilizing and providing additional $100 billion in climate financing by developed countries as well as fiscal constraints in most African countries.
